Minority Business Enterprise/Women Business Enterprise/Disabled Veteran Enterprise Definition

We define Minority Business Enterprises/Women Business Enterprises/Disable Veteran Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE/DVBE) as companies that are at least 51 percent owned, controlled, operated and managed by women, disabled veterans or minority groups. Minority groups include African-Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, Asian-Indian Americans and Asian-Pacific Americans.

Certification

To ensure the credibility of our program, we require certification through an approved third party. We prefer certification from the following agencies or their affiliates. Other agencies are given full consideration.

Supplier Registration
WellPoint's supplier registration process will automatically enter your information into our prospective supplier database.

WellPoint does not do business with persons or entities identified on the General Services Administration's List of Parties Excluded from Federal Programs and the HHS\OIG List of Excluded Individuals\Entities.

Step 1

Complete the Supplier Registration Form.

* Please Note: To complete the supplier registration process, you will leave wellpoint.com and will be directed to the Ariba Supplier Network (ASN) site. Once there, please click on "Register as New Supplier" on the left-hand side of the screen. You can register as a new supplier for WellPoint by completing the online registration form and following the on-screen instructions.

Step 2

Mail us any promotional materials you may have. Please direct these materials to:

What to expect next after registration

WellPoint's Sourcing & Supplier Performance department will review your registration and additional materials. If your company meets the selection criteria for good and services that we are currently sourcing, a WellPoint Buyer may contact you to discuss next steps and other pertinent details. Otherwise, your information will remain in our prospective supplier database for one year for processing against future requests.
