Welcome to Wellpoint DC

Effective August 1, 2026, enrollees in the District of Columbia Medicaid managed care program who are currently enrolled with Wellpoint DC (formerly Amerigroup DC) will be automatically assigned to AmeriHealth Caritas DC (AmeriHealth). This means if you are enrolled with Wellpoint, your enrollment will transfer to AmeriHealth Caritas DC (AmeriHealth) starting August 1, 2026. AmeriHealth Caritas will provide the same primary and specialty health care services you received from Wellpoint.
