Integrated healthcare

Our mission is to address the physical and behavioral healthcare of enrollees by offering a wide range of targeted interventions, education, and enhanced access to care to ensure improved outcomes and quality of life for enrollees.

We work collaboratively with hospitals, group practices, independent behavioral healthcare providers, community, government agencies, human service districts, and other resources. This enables Wellpoint to successfully meet the needs of enrollees with mental health and substance use disorders as well as those with intellectual and developmental.

Prior authorizations

We recommend you submit prior authorization requests via interactive care reviewer (ICR), our secure Utilization Management tool available in Availity Essentials. With ICR, you can submit or check status of a request, attach clinical documentation and auto-authorize more than 40 common procedures. You may also fax your request via one of the forms below.
