Dual Special Needs Medicare coverage
Have Medicare and Medicaid? You can enroll in a Medicare Advantage Dual Eligible Special Needs Plan (D-SNP). With a D-SNP plan, you keep your Medicaid benefits and get additional benefits like dental, vision, hearing, and prescription drug (Part D) coverage all with $0 or low monthly premiums.
You also get a Benefits Prepaid Card you can use to help pay for over-the-counter health items, healthy foods1,2 and utilities1,2. Your card is preloaded, so it's ready to use just like a prepaid credit or debit card. Plan availability, premiums, copays, deductibles, benefits, and benefit amounts may vary based on where you live, the plan you choose, and your eligibility.
Join Enrollee Advisory Committee Meetings
If you are part of the DSNP program or taking care of someone who is, you can join our Enrollee Advisory Committee Meetings. They happen where you live. You can be notified of the meeting dates, times and venues through email, text messages, or mailings to the email, phone number or address we have for you. We encourage members to attend, ask questions, or talk about services that they find helpful.

1 Members may receive a monthly or quarterly allowance in the form of a benefits prepaid card to pay for a wide range of approved healthy foods and utilities. Unused amounts will expire at the end of the month or quarter.
2 The benefits mentioned are Special Supplemental Benefits for the Chronically Ill (SSBCI). You may qualify for SSBCI if you have a high risk for hospitalization and require intensive care coordination to manage chronic conditions such as Chronic Kidney Diseases, Chronic Lung Disorders, Cardiovascular Disorders, Chronic Heart Failure, or Diabetes. For a full list of chronic conditions or to learn more about other eligibility requirements needed to qualify for SSBCI benefits, please refer to Chapter 4 in the plan's Evidence of Coverage.
